Disease Area Manager - Oncology (Lung Cancer) – Prague

Are you ready to take ownership of commercial strategy and lead a high-performing team in one of AstraZeneca’s key therapeutic areas? We are seeking an experienced and passionate Disease Area Manager to drive brand planning, execute innovative marketing activities, and manage a team of Key Account Managers in our dynamic and collaborative environment in the Oncology Lung Franchise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of KAMs, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high performance.
  • Develop and implement robust marketing strategies for dedicated products based on deep therapeutic expertise and the latest clinical data.
  • Consolidate inputs from sales, access, medical, and other key stakeholders to build and execute brand plans that identify business drivers and detail effective commercial tactics.  Oversee business operating plans and manage marketing budgets aligned with the brand strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver brand campaigns, promotional materials, and training events that are compliant with relevant regulatory and AstraZeneca standards.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration among your team and across therapeutic areas by identifying synergies in activities and building awareness throughout our portfolio.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key external experts by demonstrating understanding of the therapeutic landscape, treatment guidelines, and local healthcare infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyse product performance, adapting strategies based on market data insights to optimise results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, supporting product managers and logistics to ensure timely and efficient operations.

Your profile

Essential:

  • Proven experience in product management and marketing planning within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong knowledge of cross-functional teamwork, forecasting, budgeting, and market research
  • Excellent ability to engage customers and external stakeholders, adapting your communication to their needs
  • In-depth understanding of the pharma business and AstraZeneca’s value proposition
  • Fluent Czech and outstanding English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Valid driving license
  • Therapy area knowledge and at least 3 years of marketing experience (senior positions)
    Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills

Desirable:

  • Direct business experience in the assigned therapeutic area and deep product knowledge
  • People management experience, including sales coaching and personal development
